I was born and raised in Central
Illinois on my family's farm. I started hunting when I was 12. One day
I was in Wal-Mart and saw a bow. I told my mother I would like one for
my birthday. When my birthday came there was my 1st bow, I started
shooting then and never looked back. That first season I shot a button
buck and the obsession for big whitetail racks bloomed from there. I
went several years after that before I shot another deer because I was
already holding out for a trophy. It was several years after that before
I got a gun and started gun hunting, but my true love has always been bowhunting. I have been privileged to have gotten to travel the country
the last 6 years chasing other big game and my love for hunting just
keeps growing. I am now a huge QDM supporter and firmly believe in
managing our wildlife assets. My goal for bow hunting has always been to
shoot a whitetail buck big enough to make it in the Boone & Crockett
record book.
I have a lovely wife who supports my love for the outdoors and 3
great kids who also love the outdoors. I am looking forward to taking
the next step in my life as an outdoor advocate and a mentor hunter for
my kids. |
